Alpha Delta Pi
February has been an exciting month for the sisters of Alpha Delta Pi! To start off, our chapter was awarded Sorority of the Year and Excellence in Innovation at the Fraternal Values Awards. We are so proud of all the achievements our chapter has accomplished, and cannot wait for all the great things that are yet to come! We have also been busy planning our annual 5K, Red Shoe Shuffle, which will be on March 25th at Newport News Park. Additionally, our E-board recently traveled to New Jersey for Alpha Delta Pi's annual District Leadership Conference and had the opportunity to meet sisters from our district, and experience amazing workshops to learn about new ideas to bring to campus. We also held a cute Big/Little Reveal, our Alphas recently got their diamond boards, and we had a fun chapter retreat at World Class Gymnastics. Lastly, we want to thank the CNU community for helping us collect over 15,000 pop tabs!
The sisters of Alpha Phi had a wonderful month of February. Our new members got their “big sisters” this past month during a cute reveal and it was a huge success! It’s been so amazing to watch the wonderful relationships that have been formed throughout the big-little process. Our annual Love Week was also a huge success. Sisters sold Alpha Phi pins, roses on Valentines Day and even handed out heart health facts to students on campus. Be on the lookout for more exciting events planned by Alpha Phi!
Alpha Sigma Alpha
Alpha Sigma Alpha had the chance to attend and volunteer at the Special Olympics Tidewater Tip off Basket ball Tournament. At this tournament we were able to help keep score for games, be one on one with the athletes in their basket ball skills tournament, and cheer for the multiple teams. Before the big tournament we also had the chance to attend and practice with the local low and high skills team in the Hampton area. We also had our annual Play your ASA off tournament this month and raised money for the S. June Smith Center. Spread the Word to End the Word was also the last week of February where we would ask students to join ASA and sign the pledge to end saying the R-Word. Our new members were also told who their bigs were this month which is always a very exciting time for new members and initiated sisters. February was a month to remember for the sisters of ASA as most were able to have their first hands on experience with one of our philanthropies and we cannot wait for March and what it will bring!
On Wednesday, February 21 Phi Mu hosted their annual Greek Auction! They raised over $4,000 for the Phi Mu Foundation. Thank you to the Greek community for coming out and supporting! In the month of February, Phi Mu also enjoyed a movie and pajama night mixer with Gamma Phi Beta! Lastly, Phi Mu was honored to be awarded both Excellence in Scholarship Support and Excellence in Innovation at the Fraternal Value Awards!
Zeta Tau Alpha
This month, we started off by sending two of our sisters to the Coalition for Collegiate Women's Leadership Conference in Atlanta, Georgia. Then we had a huge turn out at our philanthropy event a double header Pink-Out Basketball Game, there we passed out pink ribbons and awarded fun raffle prizes including our 50/50 raffle. Around Valentines Day, we had super fun mixer with Alpha Delta Pi that was themed Galentines Day. As a chapter, we focused on sisterhood and friendship this month.
What is this?
The Panhellenic Blog is a way for CNU sororities to share with the community what events and activities they have been doing over the course of the semester. This blog is updated every month from women within each chapter.
